In response to the Covid-19 crisis, we are closed for daily operations effective 03/28 but have every intention of returning to work as soon as allowed.
Unemployment
Effective this week, we are closed for daily operations. We expect to be closed for another four weeks and possibly longer. All participant employment will be ended effective March 28 to allow individuals to apply for unemployment benefits. The federal and state governments have significantly enhanced unemployment benefits with more money and extended timelines. Now is the time to apply, using March 28th as your date of separation from Baker. Only the state can determine if you are eligible. We will provide information on how to apply online, or you can visit a local state unemployment office
Stimulus Checks
The federal government has approved stimulus checks of up to $1,200 for most lower income citizens, with additional money available for children. To qualify, you must file a tax return for either 2018 or 2019. This is very easy to do and free. https://www.irs.gov/filing/free-file-do-your-federal-taxes-for-free
